Osstf Agreement

In the coming days, local OSSTF/FEESO leaders from across the province will meet by teleconference to review interim agreements and decide, based on the processes established by the union, whether or not they will pass them on to members for ratification. The ratification of the members is scheduled for May. TORONTO, ON – April 20, 2020 – The Ontario Secondary School Teachers` Federation (OSSTF/FEESO) has entered into preliminary agreements with the province`s government and leadership associations at both centralized bargaining tables for teachers and education workers. It is significant that a new language was negotiated under section L5.16 Teacher Performance Appraisal to include a TLDSB/OSSTF District 15 New and Experienced Teacher Performance Appraisal Process. This document is now an integral part of the collective agreement. In the spring of 2017, a two-year renewal agreement was ratified by the central parties and, in accordance with the OSSTF Constitution, ratification of accession was necessary. The ratification vote was successful in approrogating the extension agreement and thus changing the central conditions for the 2017-2019 school years. The renewal agreement included the Employee Life and Health Trust (ELHT). OSSTF ELHT is called OSSTFBenefits. OsSTFBenefits Trust newsletters and information can only be accessed on the OSSTF province website for members. The Ontario Secondary School Teachers` Federation entered into a collective agreement with the province and school boards on April 20.

”While this interim agreement does not address all of our concerns, we recognize the current environment we are in and the need for students to have stability as soon as this emergency is over.” Even today, in this crisis, educators continue to do their best for students and look forward to welcoming them back into the personal support that we know is the best for most students. There is a central collective agreement that contains the Settlement Protocol (MoS), the Memorandum of Understanding (MoA) and the articles. The Central Collective Agreement (Part A) was negotiated by our provincial representatives, OPSBA and the Department of Education. In each act, there are regulations that specify or express in more detail the legislation under which they were adopted. ”We will continue to work to protect the world-class education system in which we have played an important role.
