Students who began their studies in the fall of 2014 or later can complete the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA). WMU appreciates this agreement, which meets the requirements of general education at a lower level than the WMU for all colleges in the Michigan Community. A student may use the requirements of the articulation guide, which is effective at the time of the student`s first enrollment in a community school, or the requirements of a later articulation guide. If the student does not meet the study requirements within seven years, the student may be asked to have their credits assessed according to a guide or catalogue of more recent articulation agreements. A articulation agreement is the articulation agreement of how universities work together to facilitate the transition from one level of program to another. For example, many programs at Kennebec Valley Community College have articulation agreements with other colleges. In many cases, this means that after graduating from the KVCC, you can continue your studies (full-time or part-time) to obtain an associate or bachelor`s degree without losing credits already acquired.
Tuition fees at community universities are lower. Many university students receive their first two years of training at institutions such as the KVCC. Reducing the costs of this approach allows many people who thought they could not continue their training. KvCC has articulation agreements with the University of Maine, as well as other public and private colleges and universities. Transfer assistance is available to assist students who wish to continue their training after the KVCC. Institutional Partnership Agreement: Build and encourage cooperation between our community college partners and Ferris State University. The agreement was developed as a joint effort between the two institutions and establishes guiding principles for the Community College and the Ferris Partnership, and underscores our commitment to preparing students together for successful careers, responsible citizenship and lifelong learning. Students who started college before the fall of 2014 can complete the existing MACRAO agreement at participating colleges until the end of the summer of 2019. Regardless of the weather, Western Michigan University will continue to abide by the MACRAO agreement if a student`s transcript shows that the MACRAO agreement was complied with in advance.
Institutions participating in the MACRAO agreement are: Alpena Community College, Bay noc Community College, Delta College, Glen Oaks Community College, Gogebic Community College, Grand Rapids Community College, Henry Ford College, Jackson College, Kellogg Community College, Kirtland Community College, Lake Michigan College, Lansing Community College, Macomb Community College, Mid Michigan Community College, Monroe County Community College, Montt Community College, Mott , North Central Michigan College, Northwestern Michigan College, Oakland Community College, St Clair County Community College, Schoolcraft College, Southwestern Michigan College, Washtenaw Community College, Wayne County Community College and West Shore Community College. Articulation agreements are formal and written documents agreed upon by two or more institutions.
